Make them into Peanut Butter Chocolate Lava Cookies.Oh yes!If you have an addiction to peanut butter and chocolate like I do, then theseneed to be in your life immediately.I actually made them two ways. I made them in my mini muffin pan by place ascoop of cookie dough into the bottom of each of the indentions of the muffinpan. Then, I pressed one square from a mini Hershey bar into the center of thecookie dough.Next, I topped it with another scoop of cookie dough, making sure to press thedough to completely encase the chocolate in the cookie dough center.I also made them as large cookies on a baking sheet. These are larger than themini muffin size cookies and I used two squares of the chocolate bar in thecenter of the cookie.Both were amazing, so you can make these anyway that you’d like – just be sureto make them!Here’s my recipe.

How To Freeze Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

To freeze your chocolate chip cookie dough for baking cookies later, scoop outyour cookie portions and freeze them in a single layer on your baking sheet.The cookie dough can usually be packaged into plastic freezer storage bagswithin an hour or two of freezing.Your cookie dough can also be formed into a log for freezing, then thawedslightly. Allow the log of dough to thaw for 1-2 hours in your refrigerator,then slice and bake according to the directions below in the recipe card.Once frozen, transfer the frozen cookie dough into a sealable plastic freezerstorage bag. It’s best to label your cookie dough with the date made and thetemperature needed for baking. The cookie dough can be kept frozen for up to 3months but is best used within the first 2 months.Baking your frozen cookie dough is easy! Bake as noted in the recipe cardbelow, but add 1 – 2 minutes for baking from frozen.
